What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is the FCC’s new, long-term replacement of the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBBP). The program seeks to provide a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households. The EBBP was originally introduced in February of 2021 in order to assist households during the COVID-19 pandemic who could not afford adequate internet service. It provided a $50 discount per month up until December 2021. This program was designed with a similar framework as the Lifeline Program, another customer program offered by SkyLine/SkyBest.     Assistance, SSI, WIC or Lifeline;

  • Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year; or
  • Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider’s existing low-income program.
