Control other devices with your SkyBest TV Remote

This help topic only applies to customers on the Minerva Platform.

The remote control does not control home entertainment devices or commands are not performing properly.

  • Try all listed codes for the device brand being set up. Make sure all devices can be operated with an infrared remote control.  You may have to check with the manufacture of the device in question.

TV/VCR Combo does not respond properly to the SkyBest TV Remote Control.

  • Try using the VCR codes for your brand. Some combo units may require both a TV code and a VCR code for full operation.
  • You can also try programming the device to the “AUX” button. This has worked for Magnavox TV/VCR combos.
  • Two of the most common that we see issues with are:
    • Sony
      • TV code 0000
      • VCR code 0032
    • Sharp
      • TV code 0093
      • VCR code 0048

The Automatic Search method will not provide a working code for my device.

  • Complete the following steps and then try the Automation Search method again.
  • Press the device button for which you cannot find a working code.
    • Press and hold the “RCU SETUP” button until the device key blinks twice.
    • Press “9” “9” “2” on the remote number pad.
    • Press and release the device button to be cleared twice.
    • Now retry the Automatic Search method again.

NOTE: We cannot guarantee that the SkyBest TV remote will work with every device.
