Is motion detection available for my business?

Yes, you can define four regions of interest (video motion detection areas) with configurable-programmable sensitivity for each region. Motion detection can be scheduled by day and time.

How does my business set Data Theft Prevention controls?

  1. From the main console, click on “Internet & E-mail Controls”.

  2. Click on “Data Theft Prevention” and then, click the “Settings” link.

  3. Be sure the box next to “Protect the Information Specified Below” is checked.

  4. Click on the item your business would like to add. For example, double click on Name. A new box will appear in which you will add data you want protected.

  5. Next to “Item”, you can choose to use a predefined category, such as name, or submit your own category.

  6. Type in the name you want protected in the “Data to Protect” box.

  7. Then, click the box next to each data protection description you would like to activate. The choices are: 

  • Prevent transmission of this information to the Internet

  • Prevent transmission of this information by e-mail

  • Prevent transmission of this information through instant messages

  1. Once you have finished click OK. Continue the steps above with each area your business would like protected. Changes will take effect once you close and reopen your Web browser. You can protect credit card numbers, telephone numbers, account numbers, passwords, etc…

How to set the level of protection against Web threats for my business

  1. From the main console, click on “Internet & E-mail Controls”.

  2. Click on “Protection Against Web Threats” and then click the “Settings” link. A new box will appear.

  3. Be sure the box next to “Activate Protection Against Web Threats” is checked. TrendMicro recommends Medium as a default setting. This will provide protection against web threats without blocking most Web sites. You can set the Protection Strength to High, Medium or Low.

  4. Choose what best suits your business needs.

  5. When finished, click OK.

Where can I find my current business account security activity report?

  1. Double click the TrendMicro icon to open the main console.

  2. Click on “Overview

  3. Click the link located to the right of “Summary Report”. (This link is usually named “Recent Security Activity Report.”)A box will appear with a summary of all security incidences.

  4. For more specific details on an individual activity, simply click the link next to the feature listed. This will take you directly to the detail log.

  5. Or, click on the “Logs” tab

  6. Using the drop down box, select the feature for which you would like to view further details.

  7. Click “View”. A detailed list of activities will appear. If no security threats have been detected for that particular feature the detail log will be blank.

How much does SkyBest Security installation cost for my business?

A standard security installation is valued at $270. This fee will be waived for first-time SkyBest Security customers.

More complex installations with additional equipment will cost more. Your security technician will advise you upfront of all costs to effectively secure your business during your FREE onsite evaluation.

How to pay for my SkyBest Security business account

Your monthly monitoring fee will be found on your regular SkyLine/SkyBest bill. You will receive a discount on your service if you also subscribe to SkyBest High-Speed Internet. Your upfront equipment and installation fees will be billed on the first SkyLine/SkyBest monthly statement you receive after installation.

Security precautions for SkyBest Business Internet

  • Update your Operating System regularly.

  • Install and regularly update anti-virus software.

  • Do NOT download email attachments from unknown sources.

  • Be cautious when entering your credit card number and other personal information online. Always ensure the website you enter your credit card information in is a secure site indicted by https.

  • Install a router to put your devices behind a firewall and to keep your IP addresses private.

  • Make a strong password for your email and router. Change the administrative password and user name for your router and any devices that can be logged into remotely such as web-cameras, thermostats, access points, security alarms, etc.

What to expect on your first bill from SkyBest Security for business

Your SkyBest Security equipment will be billed on your next SkyLine/SkyBest bill for your business.

We do offer a special deal on the basic wireless equipment package. If you sign a three-year service agreement, the basic wireless equipment package and installation are only $199.

Pricing varies on additional equipment needed for custom solutions and will also be billed on your next SkyLine/SkyBest bill.
