What is it and what does it mean?
High-Speed Broadband Internet is the technology that allows high speed data and voice to travel over a single copper pair at the same time. This technology uses frequency division multiplexing to create multiple frequency bands that carry data upstream and downstream simultaneously with the voice or POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) signal. With High-Speed Broadband Internet, customers can talk on the phone and surf the Internet at the same time. They will also have an "always on" Internet connection, which eliminates the need to dial in to a modem. When the computer is turned on, the Internet will be on.
